Haughville is a Beautiful Neighborhood, Loved by Jesus

The Haughville community is one of Indianapolis’ most historic and beloved neighborhoods. Located on the Near Westside of the city, Haughville has always been a place for people from diverse groups from around the world. Our neighborhood began as a community of hopeful immigrants from across Europe who came to Haughville to work in its many factories. Over time, many African American residents in our city helped the Haughville neighborhood become a community of joy and mutual care. Today, several immigrant groups are moving into Haughville, bringing vibrant life and culture to our neighborhood. Haughville reflects the beauty of God in the people he has made.

Who We Are

We’re a community of Christians, doubters, and seekers who want to grow closer to Jesus. Each of us comes from different cultural, social, or economic backgrounds. We carry the grief of our traumas and the hope in God’s promises. Together, we’re cultivating a place of safety and renewal in Haughville through the presence of Jesus as we live in his kingdom and share his gospel.

Youth Ministry

Hope Church of Haughville has a growing youth ministry that currently serves teens and pre-teens ages 10-15. Youth gatherings will begin in February of this year.

Weekly Bible Study

Our church currently has one weekly Bible study on Thursday nights at 5 pm. Each night begins with a free meal, followed by a time to discuss God’s Word together. This is a safe, honest place for community members to grow closer to Jesus and to each other.

We gather in the activity center at U16 apartments, located at the intersection of White River Parkway, Pershing Avenue, and 16th Street. If you have any questions, please reach out to Corey Blade.

We plan to begin a second weekly Bible study in the neighborhood soon.
